2025 3rd Annual PSMFM Fellows’ Team Building
The third annual PSMFM Fellows’ Team Building event, organized by the PSMFM, was held last March 29-30, 2025 at the Westgrove Hotel and Resort, Batangas with a total of 82 participants including 57 fellows-in-training and 25 consultants. This event aims to foster camaraderie, encourage teamwork, and build connections among the 17 accredited Fellowship training institutions.
The PSMFM President, Dr. Catherine Joie Carelle Ong, gave the welcome address, followed by the educational sessions, team building activities, and the social night session. Dr. Ma. Victoria Torres discussed the “Ethics of Referral: Building Professionalism in Maternal-Fetal Medicine”, which upon feedback from the participants, was repeatedly mentioned as the most impactful lecture of the event. Ms. Aiko Yasuda, Client Relations Manager of Better Practice Consulting, Inc. discussed “Preparing for Practice After Graduation: Essential Steps for Transitioning to Practice”. The fellows-in-training then participated in “The Fellowship Challenge”, wherein games were prepared to encourage strategy-driven teamwork. The social night session dialogue delved into transitioning from a Mentee to a Mentor. Dr. Irene Quinio, PSMFM Vice-President, gave the closing remarks. While, the eventful day ended with karaoke, snacks, and bonding time.
