Advanced Fetal Neurosonography Workshop 2026

The Advanced Obstetrics Ultrasound Special Interest Group (SIG) of the Philippine Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine (PSMFM) spearheaded the Advanced Fetal Neurosonography Workshop for 2026 in a hybrid set-up, with a total of 32 on-site and 244 on-line attendees. The aim of the event is to refresh and enhance the skills of the PSMFM members and trainees regarding targeted Fetal Neurosonography, in order to eventually incorporate this specialized program in the Fellowship Training Curriculum. The program was moderated by Dr. Carmela Madrigal-Dy. While, Dr. Irene Quinio, President of the PSMFM, gave the opening remarks. Guest lecturer, Professor Ja Young Kwon, has been a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea since 2019, Director of the Center for HR Development at Yonsei University Health System since 2022, and previous Vice-Director of Severance Innovation Center at Yonsei University Health System from 2018-2025. She gave a dynamic, comprehensive, and easy-to-understand, lecture on the Prenatal Diagnosis of Posterior Fossa Abnormalities through the Zoom On-line Platform. While, the hands-on workshop proper under the helm of Professor Ja Young Kwon, Professor Ha Yan Kwon, and the SIG members, was held at the PSR Lounge, Unilab Bayanihan Center, Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong City. This event shows the commitment of PSMFM to lifelong learning and further strengthen our diagnostic capabilities in order to provide a targeted and individualized prenatal care and management for the betterment of our patients nationwide.
