The PSMFM continues to provide transformative and life-saving learning leading to timely and appropriate diagnosis with judicious management of various high-risk conditions, that leads to better maternal and neonatal outcomes. To extend the reach across Obstetricians around the archipelago, the Regional Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities are continued this 2026. The first regional CME was done in collaboration with Central Visayas (Region VII) PSMFM members, represented by Dr. Ma. Susan Villaluz, the Regional Director, and program moderator, Dr. Louise Elizabeth Bogie held in Cebu last June 30. PSMFM President, Dr. Irene Quinio, gave a lecture on Revisiting Preeclampsia. PSMFM Vice-President, Dr. Sherri Ann Suplido gave a lecture on Complicated Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. While, other Region VII PSMFM members, namely, Dr. Marie Antoinette Joanna Mendoza, also a member of the 2026 PSMFM BOT, gave a lecture on Early Detection and Management of Cesarean Section Scar Pregnancy, and Dr. Kristina Dosdos gave a lecture on the Science and Art of Stillbirth Care. The program successfully brought together Obstetricians from nearby areas who have been the dutiful servants of the community working to improve the quality of care, monitoring, guidance, and outcomes for both mothers and their unborn children.
