World Immunization Week 2026
The Philippine Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine observed the World Immunization Week from April 24 – 30, 2026, under the theme “For every generation, vaccines work.” The aim of the activity was to promote the life-saving power of immunization starting from the womb and beyond by shifting fear to knowledge and protection. This initiative reached over 500 women across the country. All PSMFM training institutions took part in the event. Each institution organized a lay forum where the fellows-in-training gave lectures for the lay people, mostly including pregnant patients, all about immunity and vaccines. Several institutions also provided complimentary vaccinations, interactive games with prizes, as well as providing snacks and refreshments following the forum.
