POGScast – Let’s talk, Pinay.
The Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) through the POGS ICT Committee in collaboration with the Philippine Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine (PSMFM) presented POGScast – Let’s talk, Pinay! The high-risk pregnancy series. POGScast is a digital video series prepared for the lay public, available for viewing, free-of-charge, through the YouTube platform which discusses the specialized Obstetrics and Gynecology medical information, highlighting the different subspecialty components of POGS monthly. This initiative aims to focus on womens’ health education to strengthen the POGS advocacy, including myth-busting and preventive care, utilizing the social media platforms to engage with more Filipino women who are increasingly visible online. In doing so, misinformation is discontinued, while alleviating the anxiety of women in order to foster prompt and timely consultation to improve outcomes. From March 17 – April 7, 2026, the featured subspecialty society was the PSMFM, which involved high-pregnancy concerns/topics, with Dr. Sherwin Mapa as the POGScaster (Host).
The high-risk pregnancy series – Episode 1 (POGScast Episode 3) was all about the High Risk Pregnancy, entitled, “Ano ang High Risk Pregnancy?” Expert Maternal Fetal Medicine panelists included Dr. Valerie Guinto and Dr. Ma. Cristina Pelaez-Crisologo.
