MFM Certification in Basic Gynecologic Ultrasound

The vision of the Philippine Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine is to be the globally recognized authority in the advancement of maternal and fetal medicine in the Philippines by providing pre-conceptional and perinatal care through service, research, education and training to achieve optimal pregnancy outcomes. To be able to provide pre-conceptional care, an evaluation of the reproductive tract through ultrasound is a requirement. The society understands the predicament of several members who are unable to do gynecologic ultrasound in their hospitals or centers of practice. As a solution to this, the PSMFM Board of Trustees passed a resolution in April 2021 to create an Ad Hoc committee tasked to conduct the certification in basic gynecologic ultrasound for PSMFM members for 2 years- 2021 and 2022.
