2nd Fellows’ Forum

On February 7, 2018, the second Fellows’ Forum was held at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center, where Dr. Jan Gayl Rodriguez, a fellow – in – training in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, delivered a thorough discussion on an interesting case of Renal Tubular Acidosis an Rickets in Pregnancy in a 30 year- old primigravid, complicated with  Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, obesity  and polyhydramnios, who underwent primary low segment cesarean section under regional anesthesia for cephalopelvic disproportion with good outcome.

The forum was moderated by Dr. Christine Tantoco. Comprehensive feedbacks to the discussion were provided for by distinguished experts in their respective fields: Dr. Analyn Ngo –Yu, a perinatologist, Dr. Ofelia Javellana, a nephrologist, and Dr. Ryan Benedict Babasa, an Obstetric Anesthesiologist. The forum was formally opened by Dr. Annette Poblete and the closing remarks were given by Dr. Joyceline Silao.
